EPISODE 1 · COMING SOON
The deaths we carry.
What happens when life changes, something ends, and a part of us is left trying to catch up?
listenLinks at the top of this episode's page file.Grief isn't only about death. Sometimes it's about the person who's still alive, the relationship that ended, the future that never happened, or the version of ourselves we had to leave behind.
In this episode, we explore the many forms loss can take and why grief rarely follows the neat timeline we're told it should. We talk about the strange experience of carrying on as normal while falling apart underneath, the pressure to 'move on', and what unresolved grief can leave behind in.
We also explore whether it's possible to honour what we've lost without letting it become our whole identity, and look at grief through both therapeutic and holistic lenses, including rituals, remembrance and the possibility of release.
And, because we're therapists who are also human, we share some of the things we know about grief professionally that don't necessarily make experiencing it any easier.
A conversation about the people, places, possibilities and versions of ourselves we lose... and the things we continue to carry.
